An artwork that never arrives the same way twice ?
Supapong Laodheerasiri builds his art from everyday things: food tins, coffee-shop stools, porcelain, market wares. Every time the work travels, he takes it apart, rebuilds it for its new home and gives it a new name. Each version starts a new conversation between objects, places and people.
It began as “Untitled (Phuket 2025)” at Thailand Biennale Phuket 2025: Eternal [Kalpa], shown at the Kathu Shrine. It then headed north to the artist’s hometown as “Untitled (Heading South and Heading North, 2026)”, for the exhibition Heading South and Heading North at the Chiang Rai Contemporary Art Museum.
This October, it arrives at our gallery as “Untitled (Dialogue in Objects 2026)”, the first work from the Thailand Biennale we have ever shown.
Our own dialogue with the work began when Supapong shared his ideas and process with us. It left us with a question we still can’t stop asking: how far can a space reshape an artwork, and what might the objects in front of us become?

ผลงานศิลปะที่ไม่เคยมาถึงในรูปแบบเดิมซ้ำสองครั้ง ?
Supapong Laodheerasiri (ศุภพงศ์ เหล่าธีรศิริ) สร้างสรรค์ผลงานจากสิ่งของในชีวิตประจำวัน ทั้งกระป๋องอาหาร เก้าอี้ร้านกาแฟ เครื่องกระเบื้อง และข้าวของจากตลาด ทุกครั้งที่ผลงานเดินทาง เขาจะรื้อและประกอบขึ้นใหม่ให้เข้ากับบ้านหลังใหม่ พร้อมตั้งชื่อใหม่ทุกครั้ง แต่ละเวอร์ชันจึงเปิดบทสนทนาใหม่ระหว่างวัตถุ สถานที่ และผู้คน
ผลงานเริ่มต้นในชื่อ “Untitled (Phuket 2025)” ในงานไทยแลนด์ เบียนนาเล่ ภูเก็ต 2025: นิรันดร์ [กัลป์] จัดแสดงที่ศาลเจ้ากะทู้ ก่อนเดินทางขึ้นเหนือกลับสู่บ้านเกิดของศิลปินในชื่อ “Untitled (Heading South and Heading North, 2026)” ในนิทรรศการล่องใต้ขึ้นเหนือ (Heading South and Heading North) ณ พิพิธภัณฑ์ศิลปะร่วมสมัยเมืองเชียงราย
เดือนตุลาคมนี้ ผลงานจะมาถึงแกลเลอรีของเราในชื่อ “Untitled (Dialogue in Objects 2026)” และเป็นผลงานจากไทยแลนด์ เบียนนาเล่ชิ้นแรกที่เราได้จัดแสดงค่ะ
บทสนทนาของเรากับผลงานชิ้นนี้เริ่มต้นขึ้นเมื่อศิลปินได้เล่าถึงแนวคิดและกระบวนการทำงานให้เราฟัง และทิ้งคำถามที่เรายังคงนึกถึงอยู่เสมอว่า พื้นที่หนึ่งจะเปลี่ยนรูปผลงานศิลปะได้มากเพียงใด และวัตถุตรงหน้าเราจะกลายเป็นอะไรได้อีกบ้าง
วัตถุที่คุณเห็น คือสิ่งที่มันเป็นจริงๆ หรือไม่ มาร่วมค้นหาคำตอบ พร้อมนำจินตนาการของคุณมาด้วยกันนะคะ
