Experience the fluid grace of guitar in the Mediterranean tradition by joining us to hear Grammy-winning guitarist, Jason Vieaux. Our opening concert celebrates the most famous guitar concerto in the classical library of music, the Concerto de Aranjuez by Spanish composer Joaquin Rodrigo. Vieaux will also perform the vibrant composition, Troubadours, by John Corigliano. The concert finishes with Ancient Airs and Dances Suite by Respighi, which is inspired by Italian Renaissance and Baroque dance music to complete our journey through southern Europe. This opening night in the Mediterranean will set an excellent tone for our trip around the world in the 42nd season!
