Opening Night CARTOON-ATHON Party! Celebrate the Opening Night of LAAF 2024 with a crazy smorgasbord of animation from around the world! Projected on film, on the big screen. Rare and classic animation shorts - from the CUTE to BIZARRE COMMERCIALS, MOVIE TRAILERS, MOVIE EXTRACTS, RARE RACY ADULT SHORTS and so much more!
All projected on Super 8 film on the big screen. With a fun party atmosphere. Plus magic and illusions in the intermission. See some of the rarest and funniest animation from around the globe. Always on film! Always on Super 8!
Plus full supporting program of 1960s, 70s and 80s shorts, trailers, insane commercials and rare promos.
With intermission, fresh popcorn and lots of fun audience participation!
In the old days cinemas were also home to 'live' entertainment before and in-between the classic films. At THE SOHO CINEMA CLUB we're proud to present the live mentalist, the INTERMISSION MAGICIAN! Be prepared to be stunned and amazed by his awe-inspiring psychic powers!
We screen all our classic feature films on our state of the art ELMO GS 1200 Super 8 Projector. So join us for an evening of classic Super 8 animated films and live entertainment. See you at the party!
