Ngununggula is proud to present two exhibitions to celebrate the summer season.

Clarice Beckett: Paintings from the National Collection presents an intimate, rarely seen group of works by one of the most original artists of early twentieth-century Australia.

Scenes & Silence showcases works by New South Wales artist Mirra Whale, presented alongside paintings by Clarice Beckett, generously loaned from private collections.

Whale and Beckett capture the beauty and sincerity of their surroundings. Their practices reflect the tangible quality of their environments and the practicalities of everyday life, though reflecting entirely different times.

Clarice Beckett: Paintings from the National Collection is a National Gallery Touring Exhibition supported by The Australian Government through Visions of Australia.
