Diego Bianchi is one of Argentina’s leading contemporary artists, known for redefining sculpture. In his exhibition “Errores Irreales” at HALLE FÜR KUNST Steiermark, Bianchi transforms sculpture into an immersive, performative experience, presenting works that engage with the body within a specially designed architectural space. Combining traditional materials with discarded objects collected from Buenos Aires, Paris, and Graz—ranging from small, overlooked items to car parts and fashion—Bianchi creates a stage-like landscape of sculptures and installations that feel both unsettling and stylish, blurring the line between the physical and the organic. Through overlapping settings, activated by performers, the exhibition forms a “nebulous whole” reflecting the complexities of contemporary life. Humor and theatricality serve as a subversive tool, and on the opening and selected dates, a specially choreographed performance brings the works fully to life.
