Opening Day Talk: Skyway 2024: A Contemporary Collaboration

Join four curators from four esteemed Tampa Bay area art institutions as they discuss their experiences in selecting artists for the eagerly anticipated triennial exhibition, Skyway 2024: A Contemporary Collaboration. In this special conversation, they will delve into the collaborative process behind this third iteration of Skyway. They will also share how Skyway 2024 celebrates the gamut of regional creativities and contemporary art practices found in the Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, and Sarasota counties. The curators leading this conversation are Christopher Jones, the Stanton B. and Nancy W. Kaplan curator of photography and Media Arts at The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art; Katherine Pill, senior curator of Contemporary Art at Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg; Joanna Robotham, curator of modern and contemporary Art at Tampa Museum of Art; and Sarasota Art Museum’s senior curator Rangsook Yoon.
