Shaped in collaboration with eight Indigenous consulting curators, the #PennMuseum’s newest gallery explores the political, religious, linguistic, and artistic self-determination of Native peoples across the United States who are still thriving—despite attempts to erase their Indigenous identities, cultures, and languages.Through more than 250 items on view, hear first-person perspectives from four regions in the U.S. with especially strong connections to the Museum’s North American collections.
