KÖNIG GALERIE is pleased to present two solo exhibitions by Jordy Kerwick and Arghavan Khosravi, unfolding across the Vault and Chapel of St. Agnes.
In the Vault, Jordy Kerwick presents THIS TIME TOMORROW, a new body of work that takes its title from the 1970 song by The Kinks. Turning to small details of everyday life as anchors within uncertainty, Kerwick draws from vivid greens of nearby parks, wildflowers in magenta, vermilion, and mauve, and the familiar sound of a seasonal fountain. These encounters accumulate into vibrant tableaux where the everyday unfolds alongside the mythical, the remembered, and the imagined.
In the Chapel, Arghavan Khosravi presents THE SHAPE OF ABSENCE, continuing her exploration of the position of women at the intersection of oppression, tradition, authoritarian power, resistance, and hope. Marking the artist’s second presentation with the gallery, the exhibition brings together new works that expand upon themes central to her practice.
