About this Event

In-person or virtually on Zoom

What if the people best equipped to help you solve your hardest, most stuck problem aren’t consultants, researchers, or coaches, but theatre artists? In September, we welcome Brian Loevner, founder of BLVE with over 30 years of experience as an arts leader, producer, and consultant, including leadership roles with The Second City and work with arts organizations across Canada and the United States.

Organizations across every sector describe the same stuck place: the issue is identified, the will exists, smart people are in the room, and yet something essential is missing. Alignment won’t hold. Competing perspectives calcify. The path forward stays just out of reach. More analysis rarely helps. What’s needed is a different kind of thinking entirely. The Siminovitch Prize honouree community includes rigorous creative problem-solvers. These are theatre creators recognized nationally for innovation and risk-taking, who have spent years working in uncertainty, holding competing truths, moving groups through resistance, and building shared understanding where none existed. They are not subject matter experts. That’s the point. They bring the ability to shape the conditions in which trust, insight, and new thinking can emerge. They make the abstract tangible and the entrenched movable.
