In this day’s immersion open to women* we shall rest & descend into the composting season through the ancient Sumerian story of Inanna and Ereskigal, through mythic embodiment and somatic experiences, with sound and silence as allies. Guided and facilitated by Jackie Singer and Tracy Chipman.
What gifts await you in the Great Below?
How might your soul be fed beholding and being held, by deep time story, in the sacred vessel of your body, in the circle of women, resting and descending together?
* This day retreat is open to adult women/femme identifying folks.

THOUGH THIS EXPERIENCE, YOU WILL:
- Descend into the sacred terrain of the Great Below.
- Open yourself to hear, feel, see & know what you are ready to hear, feel, see & know.
- Allow yourself to be playful.
- Risk being seen and heard in new ways.
- Truly rest into the soft animal of your body.
- Reclaim lost aspects of yourself.

ABOUT YOUR HOSTS:
Jackie Singer is a performer and shamanic practitioner with over 30 years’ experience of holding space for creativity and healing, particularly for women. She is the author of Birthrites, Rituals and Celebrations for the Child-bearing Years, and recently published her first booklet of poetry: Loom - Poems of Love and Loss. She originally trained as a drama and movement therapist, specialising in story enactment. Jackie first encountered the story of Inanna and Ereskigal when she was in her twenties. It has been a long courtship leading to this retreat day! (www.thehummingbirdlodge.com)
Tracy Chipman weaves the ancient rivers of oral storytelling, writing and somatic practices creating unforgettable experiences inviting us towards embodied transformation & interconnectedness with the animate world. Since the mid 1990s she has been listening powerfully into the deep time myth of Inanna & Ereshkigal. Tracy resides in northern Wisconsin, occupying the traditional territories of the Ojibwe peoples. In March 2023 Tracy published her first book, Borealis Mundi - Resting in Place, Loss & Grace. (www.tracychipman.net)
