Enroll in the PADI Open Water Diver course, the most popular and internationally recognized scuba diving certification program. The PADI Open Water Diver Course serves as your introduction to the exciting and fulfilling experience of scuba diving. For just $475, our comprehensive class includes all lifetime certification fees, college credit, training materials, classroom instruction, confined water (pool dives), open water dives, and scuba rental gear for your confined water sessions. You only need to purchase basic gear for the course, and we offer discounts for students who sign up. Be sure to pick up your equipment before class. If you're waiting to buy your gear for the open water dives, you can rent ours at a great rate of only $45 for both days. Please note that there is a $20 park entry fee per day in Rolla.
Classes typically start on Saturdays at Scuba Adventure. We begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. and continue until about 5:30 p.m., so be sure to have an early lunch. You’re welcome to bring drinks and snacks to enjoy during the class. Please remember to bring your course book, a notepad, and a pen or pencil. After the classroom session, we’ll break for dinner and then reconvene at the YMCA for the pool session, which includes locker rooms and shower facilities.
We will begin with a short swim test—no need to worry; it's not timed, and you don’t have to be an expert swimmer. Then we’ll teach you how to use your mask, fins, and snorkel correctly before diving into the scuba portion of the class. Our pace is relaxed, ensuring you feel confident and comfortable with every skill you’re learning. You'll have an amazing experience!

**SATURDAY:**
11:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. — Classroom Instruction
5:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. — Break
6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. — Pool Session at YMCA, 424 Stadium Blvd, Jefferson City
**SUNDAY:**
3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. — Written Test at Scuba Adventure
5:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. — Pool Session at YMCA, 424 Stadium Blvd, Jefferson City
**OPEN WATER DIVES:**
After completing the classroom and pool sessions, you will need to participate in two days of open water dives to obtain your certification. These dives typically take place in a quarry in Rolla on scheduled dates, but you may also complete them at Mermet Springs, Pennyroyal, or on one of Scuba Adventure’s dive trips.
