Explore historic newspapers as public programming returns to MoRUS with the very first Open Vault Night on Thursday July 22, 6:30-8:00
About this Event

Join the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space for Open Vault Night for a moderated discussion with former East Villager editor Heidi Boghosian and photographer John McBride. Boghosian and McBride will recount their involvement with downtown NYC underground newspapers, covering critical moments like the Tompkins Square Park Riot of 1988 and infamous Community Board 3 Cross Subsidy Plan. In addition, we'll explore, with their insight, a selection of our archives' historic newspapers.
