UpNext Collective is a BIPOC-led, multidisciplinary, project-based arts collective founded in 2025. Co-directed by Honestine Mbuyenge and Shayla Eshelman, the collective creates bold, expressive works that center storytelling through movement, film, and live performance. Guided by the motto "Ground, Form, Reset," UpNext Collective uses art to spark conversation, challenge harmful cycles, and celebrate the depth and diversity of BIPOC experiences.
Open the Lid is the collective's debut evening-length production—an unforgettable journey through movement, storytelling, and emotion that invites audiences to reflect, connect, and see the world from new perspectives.
Event Information
- Free parking is available beside the theater.
- Tickets are donation-based, a minimum $10 donation per person. Donations of $10–$30 or more are greatly appreciated and directly support UpNext Collective and future productions.
- Donation tickets may be purchased at the door; however, seating is not guaranteed. We highly recommend reserving your tickets online in advance.
