Open Table Skill Share: Zine Workshop: Gender Joy & Futures to Grow Old in
About this Event
At this community-centered skill share hosted by ASATTCI, come celebrate Pride Month by getting artistic and exploring your relationship to gender! Designed to get us thinking about joyful embodiment, this zine-making workshop explores the history of zines as political art and personal expression and then opens up the space for you to create your own zine based on the theme “Futures to Grow Old In/Gender Joy.”
About our host: Cait (she/her) is a PhD Candidate studying the relationships between gender, sexuality, and the far-right. Her work includes publications on anti-trans ideologies and their spread, the relationship between settler colonialism and gender, and how digital spaces work to facilitate radicalization. When not working on her research and writing, Cait is probably reading or cooking. Ask her about her book mantle!
