Participants will have an opportunity to learn and practice scientifically proven meditation and mindfulness practices for stress resilience and psychological functioning in high-stress environments, integrating techniques with practical implementation strategies for leaders and communities.

About our host: Dr. Tristan C. Buzzini, PsyD is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and nationally recognized specialist in psychological resilience, high-stress performance, and community wellness at the intersections of LGBTQ+ & gender-affirmative care.
Dr. Buzzini is widely regarded for his work at the intersections of psychology, leadership, and public systems. He has served as a California statewide subject matter expert in transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse patient care and received a California Distinguished Service Medal for his work in support of the Transgender Rights and Dignity Act. His advocacy and legislative engagement have included expert testimony and consultation supporting policies designed to protect LGBTQ+ individuals and promote psychological safety within public institutions.
In addition to his public sector leadership work, Dr. Buzzini is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Elevation Psychological Services, a Sacramento-based practice specializing in mental health resilience training. His “Grounded Leadership - Peaceful Warriors” courses incorporate trauma-informed community healing practices, mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral approaches, and nervous system regulation training to sustain conscious community leaders and promote organization & community wellness.
Dr. Buzzini is an experienced educator and public speaker who has delivered trainings and seminars for local, state, and national organizations. Dr. Buzzini serves as President on the Board of Directors for the Sacramento Valley Psychological Association and is an appointed Diversity and Inclusion Commissioner for the City of Elk Grove, California.
