Our Open Study Cycle is an immersive journey into movement, creativity, and human adaptability. Through a series of hands-on workshops, we explore how movement, behavior, perception, emotions, and thought patterns shape and influence each other.
Rooted in the Fighting Monkey Practice, this study cycle is not just about learning techniques but about developing tools for long-term growth. Participants become active research partners, testing and applying key principles to their own challenges.
Together, in a group of curious and committed practitioners, we will:

Who is it for?
We believe in the power of diverse learning environments. This study cycle is open to anyone willing to challenge their worldview, examine their habits, and engage in open exploration—whether you’re an artist, athlete, coach, therapist, engineer, teacher, or simply a curious mover.
If you are excited about play, discovery, and long-term movement intelligence, these learning experiences can bring a lot of value and facilitate profound beneficial changes.
Workshop Structure
9 weekend workshops (Prague) – allowing time to practice, reflect, and apply insights.
1 Summer Intensive (Eagle Mountains) – a 6-day immersive deep dive.
Monthly Q&A calls – to stay connected, discuss challenges, and refine understanding.

Teachers
Jakub Zeman
Senior Fighting Monkey Teacher, movement educator, and researcher with a background in martial arts, dance, and information technology. Jakub has worked closely with Linda Kapetanea and Jozef Frucek since 2015 and is dedicated to developing practical, meaningful movement education.
Eliska Benesova
Dancer, performer, and movement teacher with formal training in various dance techniques (Prague Dance Conservatory, Duncan Centre, EPDM Mexico). Eliska has shared Fighting Monkey practice across schools and institutions since 2016.
Both Jakub and Eliska love working with a wide range of practitioners, ensuring the practice is constantly tested, adapted, and refined. They have led workshops across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
