Come and visit me in Hove for my Open Studio event late November. A curated hang in the large gallery space of Studio 106, Hove reflecting the past few months work. Really looking forward to this one !

I’m excited to share the past few months work which has dripped, ripped, splurged and oozed its way out of me. A collection of works on vintage mirrors,Japanese paper and repurposed textiles.
These pieces tell of a visceral and sensual journey carrying on my conversation with ultramarine blue as colour which ignites and illuminates a path forward. Reconnecting with nature via lunar lit shoreline walks I find magic and release in the airglow. The blue feels as infinite as the horizon line.
I’ve always felt an intense need to explore personal grief in my practise, as a way of making sense but also as blueprints (scuse the pun) for escape plans. Escapism allows for a playful headspace; anthropomorphising the world around me, getting messy and dirty with materials and embracing an unboundaried approach. This open studio lets the viewer into my world; a raw blue biography.

Saturday and Sunday 29th and 30th November 11-5pm. Private view for all on 29th 6-9pm.
