You're going to have to be QUICK if you want to grab a slot for Open Stage this May! We've left to the last minute to give those who may sometimes miss out, a chance to grab a slot to play!Not only do you need to be quick... but some lucky folks will get a chance to signup and secure a slot to perform at this year's Plastic Den stage at Strabwerry Fair 2024! CEM's ~500 capacity live electronic music Open Stage performance area. A full lighting production, big sound system and an experience unlike any other in Cambridge for grassroots live electronic musicians!
A vibrant evening of electronic sounds! Open Stage is an open invite to all kinds of electronic artists and performers to showcase their music in an open-mic format. Bitesize 20-minute slots, photos and audio recordings available. Sign up for a slot on the night or in advance (via email).
Any genre/style welcome. Any variety of (but not limited to):
Ambient, Acid, Noise, Audiovisual/Oscilloscope, IDM, Eclectic, Jungle, House, Electro, Electronica, Techno, Glitch, Electro Swing, Chiptune, Dub, Breakbeat, Indietronica, Hip Hop, Trance, Freestyle, Jazztronica, Electropop... and more!
For any style of performance with digital and/or analogue techniques:
Controllers, Tape Loops, Sequencers, Live Coding, Visuals/3D Graphical Performance, Turntablism, Improvisation, DIY Electronics, RPi/Arduino, MPC's, Drum Machines, Synthesizers, iPads, Laptops, Samplers, Electroacoustic Instruments, Pedals, MaxMSP/Jitter/PureData/Reaktor, Modular (software or Eurorack!) and more!
