Open Spaces: Water Party

LA Recovery Connect is celebrating wellness and recovery with a healing "Water Party" in the desert.

Join us at a nonprofit ecofarm that has planted a .25-acre Butterfly Forest. Only 1.5 hours from Los Angeles, you're invited to garden, water, rake, shovel, and mulch to help save the orange wave of monarch butterflies.

You'll also be invited to plant or sow seeds in honor of your loved ones.

Come out for some family-friendly fun! Enjoy drinks, snacks, water guns, water balloons, water hoses, music, and more.

We'll have food, water, non-alcholoic drinks, and music. You can bring whatever you'd like, as long as it's family-friendly.

No sweat! Here are the other volunteer chores we need help with:

• Shoveling Soil and Mulch
• Watering the Plants by Hand
• Setting up a .25-Acre Fence
• Composting Old Food
• Talking & Singing to Plants
• Playing with Animals
• Dreaming Together while gazing up at the Starry Night Sky

All volunteers are invited to camp overnight in a tent or a car.

This land is one of the only places where you can see the Milky Way in LA.

By healing the earth, we can heal ourselves.

Monarchs are adventurous butterflies that travel more than one thousand miles between the Americas every year.

They need green patches in the desert to help protect, feed, and shelter them during their migration.

That's why we're planting a Butterfly Forest in the Desert.
