About this Event
Principles of Open Science are becoming an increasingly important part of research, not only to comply with university and funder policies, but as a crucial part of validating scientific knowledge and providing a public service. On the other hand, there may be conflicting pressure from collaborations with industry to keep data and methods confidential, at least temporarily.
What to expect: We are hosting a panel discussion, followed by a Q&A with the audience, to discuss the challenges and opportunities with collaborations between researchers and industry partners. Our panel will consist of experts on navigating seemingly opposing expectations from Open Science and industry collaborations. Panelists will share success stories and provide practical tips for researchers on building fruitful collaborations, managing intellectual property, and maintaining scientific integrity.
Why attend: If you are struggling with the pressures from Open Science policies on one side, and pressures to keep industry secrets on the other, then join us for valuable insights and actionable advice on the future of open, collaborative research in a commercial world.
