a few more words about THE OPEN PRACTICE (Raphaël)
I started the open practice in March 2022 during my dance performance studies at the Theatre Academy (2021-2023). It was a way of learning to facilitate a practice of mine and to offer an entry point for other practitioners to enter their own processes, engaging the whole body as a space for thinking. Since then it has continued on a weekly basis. During a 2 hour time slot, participants are invited to dive into their own practice in the presence of other practitioners, guided by a facilitated structure, including a topic, movement prompts and an invitation to take turns in facilitating.
From Nov 2024 on, the open practice opens to new facilitators. I see this development as the logical continuation of this open practice, where participants were already invited to share their practices at the end of the session.
Being a group of practitioners from diverse fields and backgrounds aims to enrich each other's own practices.
-----------------------------------
No specific skill is required and all skills are welcome. This open practice values the diversity of what each participant brings. It is an invitation to explore and expand from where we find ourselves in this moment.
