The thing I’ve learned most since taking on this, “our last restaurant” project, is the importance of community. All my restaurant experience had been in larger markets. I worried my lack of experience in a small market would take some personal adjustment. It has…but in an amazing way. This community has been more welcoming and supportive than we ever could have imagined. We feel obliged to return the support whenever we can.
Our Wednesday night’s Open Mic are a great example of community support, as is the bonds we have formed with many families of our community.
The matriarch of one of the families so supportive to TBA passed away recently. Her funeral is Wednesday September 3rd. The family has asked if they could gather at Tighe’s Bistro to celebrate her life after the funeral. We said, absolutely. We feel it will be more respectful to reschedule Open Mic to Tuesday September 2nd, and Sharron and Jenn agree. So all performers and fans please note: OPEN MIC WILL BE TUESDAY NIGHT SEPTEMBER 2nd. TBA host the family memorial on Wednesday September 3rd, then back on our regular schedule starting Thursday. We’re sure you all will understand and thank you for your support.
