Hi friends in the Prostate Cancer Support Group,
Happy new year to all of you! Our group will continue to meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays. I expect to be facilitating in January and February, but because I'm relocating to Albuquerque in early March, there might be a new facilitator taking over during that time. You'll be notified of changes as the information becomes available.
Due to a big jump in flu cases MASKS are required now at the AZ Cancer Center, for patients and staff. There are usually masks right at the entrance to building 1, but if you can't find one, ask Sam, the concierge at the kiosk, or one of the staff members behind the glass windows.
Our first meeting in January is on Tuesday, January 6th, from 2pm to 3:30pm, in-person at the AZ Cancer Center, Building 1, rooms 1290/1291, and on-line using Microsoft Teams.
We'll have our usual enlightening and enjoyable discussions, and there are several videos we could choose from to watch in this meeting.
I have made contact with Dr. Dougherty's office to arrange a presentation in the coming months. Stay tuned for more details on that.
Here are directions to our in-person meeting in Building 1 (the main building).
Directions to Room 1290/1291:
1) After entering Building 1 (the first building as you drive in to the AZ Cancer Center campus), turn left and walk toward the Cafe at the end of the hall.
2) At the end of the hall, turn right and walk down past the restrooms and the elevator.
3) Room(s) 1290/1291 are the last doors on your left before you reach a double door leading to a staff only section.
