About this Event
This year our theme is Heritage: Past, Present, and Future. This theme is all about honouring the incredible stories, traditions, and legacies that make British Muslim Heritage so vibrant.
On March 15th we will be heading to Brentford Football Club to enjoy Open Iftar this year.
Date: Friday 15th March 2024
Time: Doors open at 5.30pm
Location: Gate C, Gtech Community Stadium, Brentford Football Club, 6th Floor, 27 Great West Road, Brentford, TW8 9BW
Entrance is via Gate C.
PLEASE NOTE REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY
- LATE ARRIVALS are not guaranteed entry
- ALL CHILDREN OVER THE AGE OF 5 must have a ticket
- ALL CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 16 must be accompanied by an adult

What is Ramadan?
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by fasting from dawn till sunset, prayer, reflection, and charity, ending with a celebration called 'Eid al-Fitr'.
What is Iftar?
Iftar is the evening meal with which Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset. It's a significant part of the Ramadan observance, often shared with family and community.
What is Open Iftar?
Open Iftar is one of four activations taking place as part of Ramadan Festival 2024, Open Iftar events are the flagship initiative of Ramadan Tent Project, an award-winning charity that brings communities together and spreads the spirit of Ramadan through various initiatives.
Our mission is to turn strangers into friends, and that is why our events are open to people of all faith backgrounds and none.
Since 2013, Open Iftar has connected over one-million people across the country at some of Britain’s most iconic cultural spaces, from the Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Stadium, and Trafalgar Square, to our regional events at Baltic Museum, Bradford’s Centenary Square, Coventry Cathedral and many more!
Open Iftar bridges communities; it is a space in which our commonalities are highlighted, our differences celebrated and human connection is forged.
What can I expect?
Engaging performances, bridge-building, free food, community cohesion, spiritual reflection, prayers, and great conversations.

- Vita Coco is our official hydration partner. This means we will have dates and Vita Coco's coconut water to break fast. Please bring your own water bottles
- Please refrain from wearing or displaying political items at the event
- You may be denied entry if you have a large bag
- You will be subject to a bag check as per the venue's policy
- No weapons allowed on site
