Open House Tour

Step inside the Rising Sun Inn for an open house tour that brings this Crownsville landmark to life. Walk through the rooms, hear stories from its past, and see up close how community support keeps this historic treasure standing.

The historic Rising Sun Inn, located at 1090 General's Hwy in Crownsville, Maryland, will be open for public touring on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. with tours beginning on the top of the hour. Admission is $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children 3 - 10, and children under 3 are free.

See this unique pre-colonial farmhouse and 18th century tavern, located in central Anne Arundel County along the famed Washington Rochambeau Revolutionary Route, featuring period furnishing and artifacts as well as a one-of-a-kind cabinet dollhouse replica of the Jonas and Anne Catherine Green House. Also, enjoy our restored 2nd floor with its beautifully recreated 18th century bedroom; unique dining display highlighting the Inn's two prominent eras, the late 18th century and the early 20th century; and more of the Inn's distinctive architectural features.
