Open House: 'The Garden That Watches Back' performance by Poulomi Desai
About this Event
Poulomi Desai is a multimedia artist whose activist practice is anchored in what she describes as an ‘electromagnetic dissonant queer black noise for future dreams.
Desai’s performance, The Garden That Watches Back brings together imagined live sound, broken sacred instruments and sex objects. Created in dialogue with the themes of T. Venkanna’s exhibition Sculpture Garden, Desai’s performance will create a shifting landscape of sound and devotional ceremony reflecting on worship, desire and decay.
This event takes place as part of Open House, a programme of open studios, screenings, workshops, DJs and special events, at Studio Voltaire.
