Open House! Film Location evening

The Vancouver Police Museum & Archives are excited to welcome our friends from the film industry to our location preview night!

With a coroner's court, autopsy suite, morgue, programming room and office spaces, the VPMA holds possibility and promise for any dynamic internal shots, as well as atmospheric external footage. Explore these rooms at your leisure taking in all the site has to offer.

Doors open at 5:30pm with an optional guided tour at 6:30pm, this includes all our behind the scenes areas not usually made available to the public.

-2 recreated cell with cell doors

The event is free but registration is required to gain entry to site.

Photographs of site are more than welcome however we request no flash so we can care for our more sensitive museum objects.

For accessibility into the museum we do not have an elevator or wheelchair access. There are 4 steps outside to the front door of the building, and 2.5 flights of stairs inside up to the museum. The tour will also go through another 3 flights of stairs.

Street parking is usually available, else the closest parking lots are at No. 5, 134 Powell st parking and 437 East Hastings st parking.

Info: Museum doors open at 5pm giving you full access to the museums main floor. Staff will be onsite to answer questions about the museum as well as location rental.

Info: Join the acting director for a look at the behind the scenes area of the museum, not accessible to the public which are available for filming. This will include; original city analyst entry and reception, historic library, over-spill morgue and the depths of the buildings basement.
