Adults and Youth are you interested in Aerospace, Emergency Services, Leadership, or possibly joining the military or a military academy? Are you interested in helping your community through Search and Rescue and Community Service? Are you interested in helping youth?Highlander Composite Squadron is holding an open house for anyone, youth or adults, that might be interested in joining our Civil Air Patrol (CAP) squadron to come check out our facility and talk to Cadets and Senior members.
Adults, you do not have to have a child in the program to participate. Adults can also participate in Air Crew Search and Rescue if desired. Adults do have to undergo a background check and be fingerprinted.
You do not have to join the military, CAP is a Civilian Auxiliary Unit of the Air Force. However military customs and courtesies are used and taught to help build leadership skills and respect, so for those that are interested in joining the military, this can help you learn to help with the transition to military life.
Who: Anyone 12 and older.
- Cadets can start from age 12-17
- Senior Members are anyone age 18 and older
If you cannot attend on Mon, Sept 12th, you are welcome to come to visit on another Monday during a meeting to observe a meeting and talk to members about CAP.
