Bring the whole family for a FREE day of festive fun! Visit Santa, explore art and science exhibits, and see the Durham Children's Museum, Blakemore Planetarium, Southwest Express Train Depot, and the Visions of Santa by Billy Keen exhibit, in full holiday style. Enjoy cookies, trains, and the Gingerbread Workshop. From dinosaurs at the Children’s Museum to dazzling décor, it’s a must-see Midland tradition, and it’s all free to attend and participate!
Gingerbread Workshop 2 - 5 PM
Bring your creativity (and your sweet tooth!) to the Gingerbread Workshop during the Christmas at the Mansion Open House.
Trains N' Trucks 2 - 5 PM
Visit the Southwest Depot to see the trains. Next, come on over to the parking lot for our "touch-a-truck" style activity during Open House.
The Marian West and William Blanton Blakemore Planetarium, which offers dome shows on a 360 degree state-of-the-art Digistar system in the Helen Greathouse Educational Discovery Dome, will be showing classic Christmas cartoons during the Open House.
