We moved Open Garden Day up by a couple weeks to hopefully better catch our spring blooms, and get folks a chance to purchase plants at our Geist Nursery location, if they wish! Our spring sale ends June 28. Address: 8301 Fawnsbrook Dr.
We live in a suburban neighborhood. Please be mindful of our neighbors’ driveways. Carpool if possible.
Bring: Sun/rain protection as necessary.
Water. Insect repellent. Snacks. There are no bathroom facilities.
Front beds are handicap accessible. We will take visitors on guided hikes down to our woods, field, and creek roughly on the half hour. There are stairs, exposed roots, and inclines on the path.
What you can see: hundreds of species of native plants- native herbaceous perennials, trees, shrubs, and vines in various stages of maturity. Shade/part sun/sun tended beds, and naturalized woods/field in various states of maturity.
We can answer questions about how to incorporate native plantings into your landscape and begin to increase the size/number of beds, reducing the mowed lawn area.
Come and go as you please- we will be on hand to answer questions. Feel free to take photos.
