Open Gallery Saturdays: Nicholas Barron, Hue Man- at Wedge Gallery

This solo show offers up over 60 paintings, plus drawings and more. Nicholas will give rousing, spontaneous musical performances, as well, during the open gallery hours. About the Artist:

Nicholas Barron AKA HUEMAN literally draws… and paints on Everything. He’s been a master doodler since childhood where he eventually received his PHD in ADHD working through a life of PTSD and LOL at the experiential school of soft knocks. He’s at once a master songwriter/guitarist having opened from everyone from Johnny Cash to Al Green and BB King and a visual force of nature-a POLYMATH and a Racket Scientist combining hyperbole with hyper aktivity and hyper space overdrive dirty power. Part of his legacy is Founding CASA in 1988 (coalition for the advancement of street art) to fight the city of Chicago, who was trying to ban Street Music(busking). Working with the ACLU he was able to convince the city and the CTA of the international importance of Street culture and vibrancy and color and spontagious contagiousness of street ART! HUEMAN has made his living through his Art since the beginning of the pandemic…counter-intuitively prospering from the world's shut down by making “work” that imbibes the HIP with the HOP. Hueman creates his own Swimmer style Language and paints from a neo-expressionistic place combining his multi-layered yet singular personalities.
