Join us for our first-ever open fly tying night! Whether you're a seasoned pro or new to fly-tying, we want you to come hang out, tie a few bugs, and share some new techniques and good company with us! Bring your own vise, tools, and materials (a desktop lamp and a small extension cord isn't a bad idea, either), and sit down to share tips and camaraderie. We'll provide some snacks and drinks and room to set up and get tying!
As part of this event, we'll have a short program from Lydia Wickizer on cul de canard - that magical feather we just refer to as CDC. There will be tips on selecting and prepping your feathers, using them in both nymphs and dry flies (wings and collars) and tips on how to fish them. You may opt to tie-along during the program if you like, and bring your CDC-related questions!
We're hoping to make this a fun, successful event and see you there every other Wednesday!
