Drop in anytime to come and meet our friendly farm animals and find out more about the community farm and wellbeing area.
Whether you're an animal lover wanting a short visit to stroke the goats, a nature enthusiast looking for a great place to have a picnic, or a parent looking for an outdoor activity to keep the kids occupied for an hour or two, everyone will enjoy a visit to the farm!
Event Highlights:
• Meet the Animals: Get up close to our friendly goats, gentle sheep, and fun-loving pigs. A knowledgeable volunteer will be on hand to introduce you to each animal and share interesting facts about their care and personalities.
• Feed the Goats: Experience the joy of feeding our goats and sheep; the friendliest and naughtiest animals on the farm! A bowl of food can be purchased on arrival for a small donation.
• Picnic by the Pond: Bring a packed lunch and enjoy a relaxing picnic by our tranquil pond. Picnic tables are available or bring a blanket. But watch out for the ducklings trying to steal your sandwiches!
• Have a Cuppa and Cake in our Wellbeing Garden: Stop off at our wellbeing area for a cup of your favourite brew and a piece of homemade cake.
• Children’s Activities: A variety of children’s craft activities will be available at different times throughout the day. Children will be able to make a special item to take home, including their own sheep using wool from our own ewe, dreamcatchers using willow and feathers found at the farm, animal plant pots with seeds to grow at home, and badges.
Cost & Booking:
• Admission is FREE to the Open Farm sessions but a donation of £3 per person is suggested to help us feed and care for the animals.
• No booking necessary, just turn up. Last admission is half an hour before the end of the session.
• Craft activities are just £2 per child where available.
• Refreshments are available in the Wellbeing Garden - just £2.50 for a hot or cold drink and a homemade cake.
