We have now been hit with a couple of frosts, and though many things are still going strong in the field and in the hoop house, we have lost a few things in the field. Our Open Farm Days keep rolling along beautifully, and staff and volunteers continue to work hard to get produce out to our community, and work to tidy up the farm for the season.

As always, everything is PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN so everyone can participate in our local food system!
Saturday, October 3rd
11am to 2pm – RAIN OR SHINE
577 Hillcrest Drive
11:00AM POLLINATOR GARDENS & SEED BOMBS WITH LEONA FURSOVA
Learn how to save wildflower seeds and grow a garden that supports pollinators! We'll explore how to collect and store seeds, then get hands-on making seed bombs.
12:00 VEGETABLE SEED SAVING & SEED SWAP WITH MUJIN LEE
Mujin will take over from Leona to discuss and demonstrate vegetable seed saving tips and techniques. Following that, we invite you all to bring and trade vegetable, flower, and herb seeds to get a jump on planning for next season! Please stick to seeds of known varieties, and seed that is still viable with a high likelihood of germination.
PRODUCE STAND OFFERINGS MAY INCLUDE:
Garlic, yellow onions, leeks, kale, Swiss chard, herbs (thyme, parsley, mint, chives), snap peas, dry beans, winter squash (buttercup, butternut), pie pumpkins, sweet and HOT peppers, tomatoes, carrots, brussels sprouts, and potatoes. The cut flowers have been popular but with fewer hands we may not be able to keep this up!
U-PICK:
Most weeks we have a few crops that we open up for u-pick. This week will be limited to jelly/juice grapes, ground cherries, and crap apples. We ask that you leave the remaining harvest to our trained staff and volunteers - thanks!
