Open Farm Day

Isn't this weather simply perfect? It looks like the sun and warm weather will continue through Saturday, and we hope your summer weekend plans include coming to the farm for workshops, self-guided farm tours, kids scavenger hunts, and farm-fresh produce. As always, everything is PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN so everyone can participate in our local food system!

Learn all the basics and a variety of methods for successful backyard composting, presented by Hayes Farm in partnership with the City of Fredericton.
12:00PM PROPAGATING SOFTWOOD CUTTINGS WITH MUJIN LEE
Our Community Farm Educator, Mujin, brings incredible skills with him to the farm when it comes to cultivating fruit bushes & vines (gooseberry, red & black currants, grapes, elderberry) and canes (raspberry, blackberry) from cuttings. Many of you profited from these skills at our plant sales earlier this year! Join us to learn some of these skills for yourself.
PRODUCE STAND OFFERINGS MAY INCLUDE:
Lettuce, kale, Swiss chard, herbs (basil, sage, lemon balm, dill), peas, beet greens, and garlic scapes.
