Open Farm Day at Blackwood Skyfarm

Our weekly Open Farm Day is your chance to experience the Blackwood Skyfarm at POST Houston for after-school/after-work education each and every week. Each Open Farm Day begins with a one-hour interactive tour of the Skyfarm followed by an hour-long plant or farming lesson.

Open Farm Days at the Skyfarm are weekly on Wednesdays, year-round.

• Every Wednesday, 6:30 - 8:30 pm
• Free and open to all, with RSVP required to communicate on special instructions.

Each week alternates between a Community Plant Lesson or Community Farm lesson:

• Community Plant Lessons are hands-on sessions where you will learn the benefits of various plants and how to utilize their benefits within your own garden and kitchen.
• Community Farm Lessons are also hands-on experiential learning sessions where you become an urban farmer for the day, picking up tips on how to start and nurture your own home, school, or community garden.
• Our new programming schedule begins Wednesday, February 7
