OPEN DESIGN TALKS [09] - OMAR SOSA & SLOWKIND
About this Event
This ODE Talk does not focus on the creators of iconic objects, but on those who craft the narratives around design. People who help us look at spaces, objects and ideas from a different perspective: one that inspires, reveals and gives meaning to what we see.
They are communicators, visual storytellers and content creators whose work allows projects to take on a life beyond their physical form.
Omar Sosa
Creative director, editor, curator and publisher, born in Barcelona. In 2008, he co-founded Apartamento, the influential independent interiors magazine and publishing house, where he spent seventeen years as co-editor and creative director. Today, he continues his work through his own creative direction studio, exploring the boundaries of visual storytelling.
Olivia Ricard and Miguel Ángel Aguiló — Slowkind
Olivia Ricard (Designer and Creative Director) and Miguel Ángel Aguiló (Architect and Communications Consultant) founded Slowkind in Barcelona in 2016. Through the studio, they work with brands, professionals and institutions connected to architecture, design, art and culture, helping them shape their identity and communication, find their uniqueness, develop a voice of their own and create narratives capable of connecting with people.
They teach us to listen to what projects leave unsaid.
On September 10 at 7:00 pm, at Lagranja Studio, Omar, Olivia and Miguel Ángel will discuss the power of storytelling to give projects a voice and transform the way we look at design. An event that forms part of the Open Design Editions programme.
