🚨INFORMATION FOR DJS WHO WANT TO PLAY!!!🚨
Our DJ community is growing! Because of this, we were forced to make changes to how DJs signup for their slot times to make getting a slot as fair as possible.
Here is how it will work.
There are 8 slots available, 45 minutes each.
On the Monday before Open Deck Night, the link to the sign up form will be shared to the discussion board of the event as well as the EDM Night DJ Facebook Group (to be added to this FB group, hit up Cameron or Chad). Once that link is published, you are free to select 2 different time slots. The time slots will be filled in the order that they are receive. You are welcome to apply for any avaailable slot, however, there are a few exceptions.
If no slots are available when you try to sign up, you can choose to be placed into the waitlist. DJs on the waitlist will be able to take the place of other DJs who don't show up to their set or drop out of their set before the night. Also, the first 2 DJs on the waitlist get a guaranteed slot in the next Open Deck Night (see below).
The first 3 slots will generally be open to new comers. If you have 3 months or less attendance to Open Deck Night, you will have priority for the first 3 slots with some exceptions. Anybody can request these slots, however, and we'll do our best to accomidate you.
The middle 3 slots will generally be open to those who have more than 3 months of Open Deck Night attendance. Anybody can request these slots, however, and exceptions can certainly be made.
The last 2 closing slots are reserved for the first 2 DJs on the waitlist from the last Open Deck Night. If there are not waitlist DJs from the last open deck night, then the slots will be available.
ALSO!!!! All B2B's and Duo's are restricted to one 45 minute time slot. For example, if DJs A, B, and C want to B2B togehter, all three must play in a single 45 minute time slot and cannot reserve 3 consecutive slots totaling 2.25 hours. Those situations are more appropriate for EDM Night. Open Decks is to allow as many of our local DJs as possible to play as much as possible.
We are still ironing this new process and we do anticipate some unforseen issues to arise. Please bear with us. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or critisims about this process, please talk with Chad and/or Cameron about it. We are 100% open to all feedback and suggestions.
