Did you know that in the event of a Civil Defence emergency, local Emergency Hubs are activated to support the community?One of those hubs is Manaaki H.O.P.E, based at Te Herenga Waka o Orewa Marae — and we’re opening our doors to YOU!
Come along to our Emergency Hub Open Day and:
- Learn about the role of Emergency Hubs in your area and what it takes to activate
- Find out what to do when a hazard strikes
- Discover how to stay connected during an emergency
- Get practical tools to prepare a plan for your whānau
The team from Auckland Emergency Management will be on-site, alongside our dedicated local volunteers and supporting businesses.
