Africa Media Academy wants to inspire young South African students with an inventive method of education that concentrates on preparing them for a career in the creative industry. We do this with a curriculum that integrates technical knowledge with artistic exploration and creativity, exploring the practical side of this industry, taught by staff that are professionals in their field.
Our programs are designed to immerse aspiring talent in industry practices and current technologies, enabling them to discover their individual voices through collaboration and realize their career goals in the Filmmaking & Photography industry. Offering Wildlife & Underwater programs in film and photography would set us apart from other institutions.
What's happening, our staff are ready to welcome you with good cup of coffee and home-baked treats from our Coffee Shop, introducing you to the Africa Media Academy program as you navigate through 3 experience stations in the Academy.
1. Photo Studio/Live Class setting
Our Lecturers will walk you through a photography studio tour and live class setting, live shooting demos, and gear testing, talking curriculum and outcomes for the program
2. Gear and Media Room and Student Showcase
Alumni video testimonials, career Q&As, student film screenings/photo exhibit viewing and accommodation/life of student experience slideshow.

Upgrade from an enthusiastic amateur photographer to an aspiring professional. Learn how to make money from Wildlife and Travel photography whilst experiencing incredible photographic platforms in Africa
Underwater Photography
Learn vital skills for shooting under the waves. Led by a professional underwater photographer, students will be guided through the essential skills required to master both SCUBA diving and underwater photography.
Underwater Videography
Guiding students in the art of under water videography.
Software Training
Learn how to use editing software like Photoshop, Lightroom, Design programs and Premier Pro for creating videos and documentaries.
Studio Work
Explore a studio environment, learning more about lighting and getting hands on training working in a studio.
