OPEN BRIEF: Creative Competition x Marketing Networking Night
About this Event
It’s been a well-worn complaint that you don’t really get to know anyone at most networking nights, panels or conferences. New connections are too shallow, too transactional. Thus OPEN BRIEF was born.
On July 2nd, we're bringing Toronto's marketing minds together, skipping the small talk, and actually doing marketing together. I.e. forging real connections in the fire of competition and giving you the chance to show off your sharpest creative chops.
You'll get paired with 3-4 fellow marketers and creatives, handed a brief, and get 1.5 hours to come up with your boldest ideas.

Some Details:
- The top several teams will get free tickets to our next Industry Social, where they'll pitch their ideas live—judged by the brand and a guest judge (aka a senior marketing leader) in front of room full of marketers.
- Prizes: Winners—$100 gift cards (LCBO, Amazon, or Indigo); $1K voucher for CTV advertising media from our sponsoring partner; Major Bragging Rights. Runners-Up—$500 voucher for CTV advertising media from our sponsoring partner; Minor Bragging Rights. All Participants—The friends we make along the way.
Who's the brand? What's the challenge?
The brand is completely made up—a fictional business we invent for each event, so every team and competitor starts from the same blank page and pure creativity decides the winner.
All attendees will get an email just prior to the event with the rules, but you'll only see the "brand" and brief at the event. Everyone starts on the same footing with under 2 hours to create their pitch.
