Open Audition for TTC’s Summer Outdoor Performance of “Side Show”West Des Moines, IA - Tallgrass Theatre Company (TTC) announces the return of their Summer Concert Series. In collaboration with West Des Moines Parks and Recreation, TTC will be producing a show at the Jamie Hurd Amphitheater located in West Des Moines. Sponsored by The West Des Moines Community Foundation.

Details – Based on the true story of conjoined twins Violet and Daisy Hilton, who became stars during the Depression, Side Show is a moving portrait of two women joined at the hip whose extraordinary bond brings them fame but denies them love.
Performance Dates: Thursday June 11th, Friday June 12th, and Saturday June 13th – Curtain 7:30pm, gates open at 6:00pm
Auditions: NOTE: The Roles of Daisey and Violet Hilton are Pre-Cast.
Open Audition Call: April 12th and 13th at 6:00PM – at Tallgrass Theatre Co. 2019 Grand Ave, Suite 100.
Actors will be asked to sing 16-32 bars of music from another show to showcase their vocal range. Please bring a copy of the sheet music with you to share with the accompanist, or have your track ready for a Bluetooth device.
A short movement will also be taught, please wear clothes you are comfortable moving in. Callbacks will be on Tuesday, April 14th at 7pm, if needed.
Video Submissions must be sent in to [email protected] no later than 10pm on April 12th. If you submit via Google Drive make sure that email has permission.
