Portland Ballet is excited to announce that we will be holding open auditions for our 2025 production of 'A Victorian Nutcracker!' Auditions are open to dancers ages 7-17 and will be held at our facility on Saturday, August 23rd. Please register for the group that fits your age at the time of the audition, and note that pre-registration is required. We look forward to seeing you there! 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Ages 7-10
Check-in at 10:15am; Audition from 10:30 - 11:15am

Ages 11-17
Check-in at 11:00am; Audition from 11:15am - 12:00pm

Dress Code: Please wear a solid colored leotard, pink/skin-colored tights, ballet shoes (ladies) or black tights, solid colored t-shirt, ballet socks and shoes (gentlemen).
*Students who are enrolled in classes at Portland School of Ballet for the 2025/26 School Year do not need to audition.

Studio rehearsals will be held on Saturday afternoons - exact times TBA - from Saturday, September 13th through the performances. (There will be no rehearsals on Saturday, November 29th)
𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙍𝙚𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨
- Saturday, December 6: 2pm & 7pm at Sanford Performing Arts Center
- Tuesday, December 16: 10am & 7pm at Merrill Auditorium
- Saturday, December 20: 11am & 5pm at Westbrook Performing Arts Center
- Sunday, December 21: 2pm at Westbrook Performing Arts Center

There will be dress rehearsals (times TBA) at the theater in the afternoon/evening prior to the performances.

- Monday, December 15 at Merrill Auditorium
- Friday, December 19 at Westbrook Performing Arts Center
**𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴𝘢𝘭 𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴.

* Auditions are for supporting roles within PB's 2025 professional production of 'A Victorian Nutcracker' and selected dancers will be expected to participate in all rehearsals and the 7 performances of the production.
* Interested dancers must be at the audition in person to be considered for a role
* Roles are limited due to costuming, cast capacity, and other outstanding factors.
