Join Us for the Open Art Studio and Community Curtain Project!
We are excited to announce our Open Art Studio event, featuring a special Community Curtain Project that is being started by the talented staff and participants of our park district programs!
𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐎𝐰𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞!
We’ll have plenty of arts and crafts supplies available for you to make your own piece of art! Whether you want to follow a predetermined project or create something entirely unique, our studio will be fully stocked to help your imagination come to life.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧?
The Community Curtain is a collaborative art piece where individual strands come together to create a beautiful display of creativity and unity. Each strand reflects the unique ideas, themes, and personalities of the various programs within our park district, such as our playschool, afterschool program, maintenance department, fitness department, and more. Now, we are inviting the community to join in!
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞?
When you visit our Open Art Studio, you and your family, friends, sports teams, or community groups will have the opportunity to add your own strand to the Community Curtain! We’ll provide all the materials, and you can get creative—choose a theme, decorate your strand, and make sure it represents who you are. Your contribution will help our curtain grow and reflect the diversity of our community.
𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐲
In addition to the Community Curtain, there will be a small art gallery showcasing works created by the kids in our various park district programs. This is a wonderful chance to see the incredible artistic expressions from children of all ages.

This is an open event, and everyone is welcome to participate in creating art, adding to the Community Curtain, or simply enjoying the creativity of others. We look forward to seeing you there and can’t wait to watch our community come together through the power of art!
