Folksy Theatre presents Shakespeare's 'As You Like It'. Filled with Folksy's wonderful live music, audience interaction and downright silliness! Bring along your friends and family to watch this wonderful outdoor production.Rosalind, the daughter of a banished duke, falls in love with Orlando. When she is then banished from the court by her usurping uncle, Rosalind takes on the appearance of a boy, calling herself Ganymede. She, her cousin Celia and jester Touchstone, travel to the Forest of Arden, where her father and his friends live in exile. When she meets Orlando again in the forest, she devises an elaborate scheme to find out the verity of his supposed passion for her, and to further capture his heart, through the witty and mischievous façade of Ganymede.
This wonderful Shakespearian comedy about life, love, betrayal, faith and death is filled with Folksy's touch of live music, bold characters, audience interaction and plenty of laughs. Bring along your picnics and friend and family to enjoy this fun-filled outdoor production!
Seating is not provided, you are welcome to bring your own folding chairs and picnic blankets. Our tearoom will be open for take-away refreshments.
Book for either Thursday 18 or Friday 19 July, 7pm - 9:30pm.
Tickets are non refundable. No tickets needed for 2’s and under. Sorry, no dogs permitted during the performance.
The shows go on whatever the weather (unless fork lightning).
