Exciting news! Open Air Shuffle is back for another season! We're kicking things off on Saturday 25th October, from 3-5pm ✨Open Air Shuffle is a FREE afternoon picnic dance, run by the team at Darn Hot Swing Dance Collective. Whether you're new to Balboa or a long term Bal-lover, we would love you to join us! (We're always happy to see some shag too!)
We set up a smooth and dreamy dance floor on the stage at the Piazza Italia in Argyle Square, Lygon Street Carlton.
DJ Kris will bring you 2 hours of hot jazz tunes, perfect to balboa away your afternoon 💖
Bring snacks, drinks, chairs or blankets, friends, and dance shoes. The space is covered and protected from the elements, and there are public toilets nearby. We are a family friendly event, kids are very welcome!
There is plenty of street parking available, and it is easily accessible via trams along Swanston St.
If you are able to arrive 15 minutes early to help with set up, or stay back at the end to assist with pack down, we always appreciate it!
There is a traditional trip to the nearby Casa Del Gelato for ice cream after the dancing ends, which all are welcome to join!
