The Opelousas Imperial Mardi Gras Parade is scheduled to roll on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. The parade, which is being organized by the Opelousas Imperial Mardi Gras Association, will feature reigning royalty, floats,and beads. The Opelousas Imperial Mardi Gras Association (OIMGA) is honored to announce Opelousas Native and Nashville Recording Artist, Kylie Frey who will serve as Grand Marshal for this years parade.The Parade will begin on East Landry St. (US 190 Westbound) at the intersection of Landry St. & Academy St. The parade will proceed west on Landry Street until it intersects with Liberty Street. The parade will then make a right turn on Liberty Street headed north until it intersects with a Grolee Street. The parade will then make a right turn on Grolee Street headed east until it reaches Waillior St. where the parade will disband.
