Those giant skeletons and blow-up grim reapers you've been seeing all over town can only mean one thing—it's time for the Halloween Ride.
It's always our last ride of the year; it's usually our biggest ride of the year; and it's definitely one of the most fun rides of the year.
In what's quickly becoming a tradition, Alex Neuman and Merritt Kanan are back to lead our rolling block party to the Upside Down. We'll have some treats and maybe even a few tricks.
Our rolling block party gathers at Scoville Park, near Lake Street and Oak Park Ave, at 8:45am for a 9ish departure. We'll have a few brief announcements before heading out for a 4 mile loop, lasting just under an hour, ending back in the park where we started.
Grab a bike-friendly costume, grab a friend, bring some neighbors, or come on out by yourself. We can't wait to see y'all out there.

We ride slowly for little peddlers and parents on cargo bikes. Everyone should wear a helmet, have a parent or guardian with them, and be able to ride without training wheels in a straight line. Cargo bikes, tandems, trailers, and tag-a-longs are great for kids who have not learned to pedal.
A quick disclaimer: These rides are intended to be informal gatherings of family cyclists. While the spirit of the ride is that we’ll all be looking out for each other, each adult is ultimately responsible for any young people they bring with them and for deciding what’s safe and appropriate for their group.
