Workshops with SHAHRZAD at Oslo Oriental Dance Festival 2022Hold on to you hipscarves - SHAHRZAD is coming is OSLO!!
Don't miss the opportunity to learn from one of the brightest shining stars of the Cairo sky.
Shahrzad will be teaching a total of 8 hours, four 2-hours workshops, so you can really dive deep and expand your training.
WS 1
- SHAHRZADS SIGNATURE COMBOS -
Delve into Shahrzad's personal style as she shares her approach for combining arms, footwork, and hips, into fun and dynamic combinations to a variety of musical styles.
Day: Friday June 10th

WS 2
- TABLASOLO TECHNIQUE - SHIMMYS AND ISOLATIONS -
Improve your control and precision with this up-beat technique and drills workshop! Shahrzad will be sharing her personal technique for a variety of shimmies and isolations of the hips, belly, and chest.
This workshop is a great preparation to the tablasolo choreography.
Day: Saturday June 11th

WS 3
- TABLASOLO CHOREOGRAPHY -
Challenge your skill and coordination with a unique new tabla solo choreography in Shahrzad's special style. Learn a variety of new combinations and a full fun choreo you can use for performance or practice.
Day: Saturday June 11th
Time: 13:30-15:30
Level: High intermediate/advanced
WS 4
- GOLDEN ERA TECHNIQUE & COMBOS -
In this workshop we will look at what technical and musical elements create the 'golden era' aesthetic. Shahrzad will break down technique based on 40's and 50's era Raqs Sharqi dancers and create a variety of combinations to classic music.
