About this Event

Join students, researchers, clinicians, and neuroscience professionals from across Ontario for the inaugural Ontario Student Neuroscience Conference (OSNC), hosted by the Neurological and Neurodegenerative Disease Student Association (NANSA) at the University of Toronto in partnership with the Ontario Brain Institute.

OSNC is a student-led academic conference designed to showcase student research, encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, and create meaningful connections within Ontario’s neuroscience community. The conference is open to post-secondary students from all programs and fields of study, including but not limited to undergraduate, graduate, and medical students.

Attendees can expect a full day of engaging programming, including keynote lectures, workshops, oral and poster research presentations, thematic sessions, panel discussions, and structured networking opportunities. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about emerging developments in neuroscience and neurotechnology, explore academic and career pathways, receive exposure to research taking place across Ontario, and connect with peers, faculty members, graduate programs, industry representatives, and community organizations.

Students interested in presenting their research may submit an abstract for consideration by August 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Successful applicants will be notified by August 17. All presenters must also complete event registration.

The conference will take place on August 24, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Bahen Centre for Information Technology, University of Toronto, located at 40 St George Street in Toronto.

Early-bird tickets are available for $15.99 until August 17, 2026. After that date, regular admission is $20.00. Registration closes on August 19, 2026. All attendees, including students selected to give oral or poster presentations, must register and purchase a ticket. Refunds are available until August 17, 2026. No refunds will be issued after this date.
